CIMVHR Student and Postdoctoral Engagement Community (SPEC)
The CIMVHR SPEC is a group of engaged student and trainee researchers dedicated to supporting the professional development of graduate and postdoctoral students working in military, Veteran, public safety personnel, and family health research. With the goal of maintaining and expanding this area of study, the committee provides support and encouragement to trainees and students both entering and currently involved in the field, all while supporting the entirety of their academic journey.
In January 2024, we welcomed the following executive members to the CIMVHR SPEC.
In April 2025, we welcome new executive members to the CIMVHR SPEC.
In 2025, CIMVHR provided funding to support four students to complete JBI Training. The JBI Comprehensive Systematic Review Training Program is a three or five-day program depending on research needs or areas of interest. By the end of the program participants are ready to begin a protocol for their systematic review.
We are so grateful to have such a diverse group of trainees that represent a wide variety of research fields and institutions.
