The Intergenerational Impacts of Military Service Related Moral Injury

Using qualitative methods and focus groups, this project explores the intergenerational impacts of military service related moral injury. Findings will help inform identification of moral injury in veterans, barriers to treatment or support for children in military families, and current gaps in support services.

Current psychological care of Canadian Forces Veterans with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) typically relies on the Veteran to recollect their psychological state since last seeing their clinician. The purpose of this proposed study is to test the applicability and utility of real-time tracking of PTSD symptoms in Veterans.
