For the past 13 years, CIMVHR has harnessed the national capacity for research in the areas of military, Veteran and family health. Our motto, "serving those who serve us," acts as a call to action and is our north star. We continually work with our interested parties to stay at the leading edge of research, and to address the needs of the researchers that we serve.

During 2022/2023, we saw a return to normalcy as the pandemic restrictions eased. That allowed CIMVHR to travel more, meet new people and solidify existing relationships. The War Amps Canada and Perley Health Centre of Excellence in Frailty-Informed Care (Perley Health) are the latest funder and research institute to join our network. Perley Health is a unique and innovative community that empowers Seniors and Veterans to live life to the fullest. Home to more than 600 Seniors and Veterans in long-term care and in independent apartments, Perley Health provides a growing number of clinical, therapeutic and recreational services to residents, tenants and people from across the region.

With the lifting of restrictions, we were able to hold our Annual Forum in person and found great success in the beautiful city of Halifax. There was a lot of excitement of being together, as CIMVHR brings together a very close and engaged community of researchers who have a shared ...
